The Costume Museum of Canada has a new exhibit focusing on the little black dress.
The colorful history of the Little Black Dress
La Petite Robe Noire showcases eight decades of the Little Black Dress through 12 pieces that have been donated to the Costume Museum of Canada in Winnipeg.
The Winnipeg Free writes "While its hems may have risen and fallen, its sleeves cut in varying styles, and its silhouette shifting from flattering A-lines to slimming Empire waists to clingy sheaths, the dress itself remains a firm staple in most (women's) wardrobes."
