About Me
Pune Dracker, MFA, MA, RYT-200
I am a writer, researcher and social justice warrior in New York City. I hold an MFA in Nonfiction/Poetry and an MA in Design Research, Writing & Criticism, and my lyric essays have appeared in Oculus Magazine, Hyperallergic, Michigan Quarterly and Full Bleed Journal. I have argued for 70s teen idol David Cassidy as a nonbinary icon for ZoneModa Journal of fashion studies, and my current research interests include Halloween costumes, particularly those featuring iconic celebrity looks. I also teach yoga and dance, make art out of found objects, and have been thinking and writing about Marilyn Monroe for a while now. That’s me as zombie Marilyn, dancing with the Thriller float in the 2023 Village Halloween Parade.
