Inspiration and Influence - Flowers and Dior's Spiritual Presence
After visiting Dior’s Normandy House, Simons came up with the idea to cover all the walls of the show’s location in flowers, another innovative way he embedded one of Dior’s greatest passions in his first show at Dior.
Simons has now fully absorbed the visual language of Dior.
The common belief that Dior’s spirit is present in the studio at night, shared by several seamstresses in the film, is visually portrayed by screening footage of Dior on the mannequins in Dior’s House today.
This scene adds the feeling of the eternal presence of Christian Dior at the studio and the influence and pressure on Raf Simons.
