About Me
Isabel is a current Grad Student in the CUNY Graduate Center MALS program. Her concentration is in New York Studies with her focus on how pop culture addresses social issues. She went to undergraduate at Hunter College and received degrees in English and Theatre. She currently works full-time at Target as their Food and Beverage Team Leader and hopes to use her experience working in retail with her degrees to work in museum programming in New York City.
Isabel was born in Indiana and moved to North Carolina as a teenager. At 18 she moved to New York City and has been here ever since. While in New York she worked as a development intern at The Actor’s Company Theater and an usher with the American Theater Wing. After that, she served as a committee member on The Metropolitain Musuem of Art’s College Board, where she helped plan events for college students nationwide. All of this helped spark a love of New York City culture and an interest in program development.
